World War Three ~~

"Hey that's mean!" The voice cried.
"Yeah, well tough luck. I can tell where you're hiding from your voice idiot. Do you really want to get shot?" Brandon smirked.

There was no answer. To freak the thing out, Brandon shot the ceiling. "Now come out before it hits YOU!" Brandon yelled once more.

"Nah, I'll just leave!" The voice squeaked, and a rustling sound was heard.
"Shit, where did it go?" April asked.

Brandon began shooting everywhere. Suddenly, there was a yelp. "I got it!" Brandon yelled, walking towards the whimpering sound.

"Yeah, and blasted about twenty holes in the building as well. That was perfectly good amo Brandon!" April complained.
"Yeah yeah, let's just see who the hell this is!"

They slowly walked to the whimpering. "Where is it?" April asked, "I mean I hear it but I don't see it!" Brandon saw something move in the corner of his eye. "Here it is!" he claimed and turned to it.

"Who is it?" April asked, confused. "I don't recognize them, do you?"

"Is it even human?" Brandon asked rudely. "Hey!" the thing shouted, burrying its head in its knees.

"I'm guessing it is," April looked at the hiding person. "It sounds like a guy."

"Whatever," it said, picking up it's head. "I'm sorry, I should just go."

"Not until you tell us what the hell you were doing in our base!" Brandon snarled, trying to get a better look. "We can't risk us being found out."

"Base?" It said, "I've lived here long before anyone came! Then you intruded, and I had to hide. I came back to see if it was still in use just today and I guess it is."

"Pardon us, but this was our base long before anyone else's. We found this place BEFORE the war, and it was completely empty when we found it. Sorry, but please, get out." Brandon muttered, pointing the gun at it.

"I owned this house," it sobbed, "I used to have a family here but then you intruded while we were at the store and then the war happened and killed everyone but me. I just want my house back, it's filled with so many memories!" The person kept crying. April put her hand on Brandon's shoulder and said smoothly, "put the gun down."

Brandon snapped his head around and looked April in the eye. "No," he said sharply, and pointed the gun at the thing. "April, you dummy. Never let your guard down in a war. Everyone has their own sob story, but other's don't like sharing. It's just a stupid act to try and take us over."

"It's not a sob story," the thing explained, "I was just proving you wrong. I have no defense or weapon, so I'll just leave." April gave Brandon a dirty look at snatched the gun from him. "You don't touch this until you've calmed yourself," she said strictly to Brandon.

Finally, Brandon couldn't take it. "April, that THING is not staying. I don't know if you've realized, but this is war. War! Lucy got fricken raped by a bunch of pedophiles, all of our parents are probably dead. Chris has been stuck in a delusional state ever since he's been lost here, and we have all been shot at at least once. Don't you dare tell me I should calm down, you're too gentle April. War breaks you, everyone around you, and the nice people along the way. You'll be broken too. But to protect the ones I love from being broken, I need my fricken gun April. Give. Me. My. Gun."

April looked offended. She was. She was no "gentle" person. The war didn't "break" her. "You're pathetic," She snapped angrily, "Ever since you and Lucy became a couple or whatever the f*ck you are, you have been nothing but mean! Tell him, Steven! Tell him he's a jerk!" Steven stood there in silence as he watched April's expressions change. She groaned and trailed out of the room, blurting out, "Screw you guys! I'm just going to go back in the war, and I'm taking the gun!" April faded out into the empty area and very faintly, said, "I'm not gentle, never was and never will be!"

Brandon turned back towards the thing, officially pissed off. "I don't know if you've notice April, but she DUMPED me after the first damn day!" he yelled, and looked at Steven. "I'm sorry about that, can you get me the other gun? We have some pest infestation to handle," Brandon muttered, glaring at the thing. If April wanted to be caught and killed, that was her own damn problem. He didn't want anything to happen to her, and he really didn't word of this to get to Lucy. But what was that saying? All is fair in love and war. And shit was just getting too damn fair.

Steven knew there was only one gun left, and he knew where it was hidden. Without thinking it through, he got the gun and threw it far, in the direction where April walked away. Hopefully she was close enough to see it and take it. "You bastard!" Brandon yelled.

April was looking for a good place to go when it hit her. Literally. "Ouch," she mumbled, rubbing her head. She turned around to find another gun behind her. She picked it up and started running.

Brandon glared at Steven, as he tried to stay angry. But then...desperation shone through his eyes. And after desperation came the tears. "What...what have you done?" he whispered, utterly terrified. "Steven you idiot...I wasn't going to shoot anybody...it was for a bluff. And now that you threw the gun away, we don't have anything left to protect ourselves. Let alone Lucy and Jayde if they ever come back. We're open targets, and now we can't fight back. What have you done Steven, what the hell have you done!" Brandon cried, and sat down on the floor.

"Brandon," Steven said softly, "Calm yourself. I have a gun of my own, and it's hidden from all of you because I never knew who to trust, so I kept it just in case. I'm not taking it out, because I want to keep it hidden."

"Then what about the rest of us Steven? Lucy and Jayde are unarmed, Chris doesn't have anything, you took my only weapon...sometimes you aren't around Steven. And we need to protect ourselves. You can't trust any of us? This whole group of us, all of us were built on trust. And I can't stand the possibility of one of us dying because you threw away our only other good weapons. I can't stand any of us dying," Brandon wept, tears still steadily flowing from Brandon's eyes. "I, I can't ever leave this damn building without a weapon Steven. I know I'll get shot if I can't shoot back."
