World War Three ~~

"It was totally my shift," Brandon shook his head. "You really need to stop thinking about me and start thinking about yourself. You need sleep too."

"I wasn't thinking about anybody but that girl," Steven admitted, "but wake me up when you're read to look. Okay?" Steven smiled and went to his room.

"Alright," Brandon sighed, and sat down on the couch. He'd have to wait a few hours, but pretty soon he'd have Lucy on one side and Jayde in his arms. They'd become a small family to him, and once Brandon got it back he'd never take them for granted again.

(Time skip)

Steven yawned, waking up. He stretched, the stood up. "Ready?" He quietly asked Brandon. Everything was so quiet and peaceful, but it didn't seem right.

"Yeah, I'm ready when you are," Brandon said, picking up his shoes and lacing them on. "But can we stop by the black market first? Thanks to a certain someone I'm weaponless," he sighed, rolling his eyes.

"I'm not," Steven smirked, "But alrighhhhtt."

"I fricken hate you for that," Brandon groaned, and carefully walked out the door, scanning the area. "Lock up and hide the entrance, I don't want anymore unwanted visitors. Let's move," he muttered, lowering his voice.

Steven said OK in sign language since his mouth was full of a protein bar he grabbed before leaving. He locked it up and hid it, and they were on their way.

After an hour of walking, Brandon groaned. "Why couldn't they have built the place closer to us? This is why we don't trash good weapons! Cough you cough," Brandon hinted, annoyed.
"I told you I'm sorry," Steven smirked, continuing to walk.

In the middle of their walk, it came to their attention that there was a tall guy sitting on a large rock with a large gun. "Get back," Steven whispered, spotting the solider. They hid behind a different rock. The guy turned around. His eyes seemed red and his face looked damp. "Was he crying?" Brandon whispered. "Shut up!" Steven whispered back. The soldier then stands up and shakily yells, "H-hello?" He then walked over, leaving his weapon behind. "Hi," he said to the two guys hiding behind the rock. "I'm Ty, and I'm just asking for peace. Don't hurt me, please."

Brandon immediately reached for his gun that he still didn't have and swore under his breath. "Shit," he muttered, as Steven glared at him. "Look, I'm not very fond of soldiers," Brandon sighed, backing away. "You don't give me an excuse to trust you because you've been crying. So watch it or I'll shoot," he bluffed, pretending to have a weapon in his pocket.

"Crying?" The soldier said, immediately reaching for his eyes. "Shit!" He whisper-yelled, "It happened again! No, I'm not crying. It's an allergic reaction to all the dust and ash. Anyways, I'm not going to hurt you. I just wanted to keep this clear so I'm not randomly shot in my own area of land." He nodded his head and turned around. He looked back and added, "By the way, the name's Ty."

"Brandon," he muttered, reaching his hand out to shake Ty's cautiously. "That's Steven, and goodbye!" He nodded, immediately turning on his heel and trying to leave.

"That was rude," Steven said, elbowing Bradon in the arm, "Wait!" Ty turned around, shocked. Steven continued, "Do you think you could help us? I mean, it's totally up to you, but we need all the help we could get right now." Ty nodded, "Sure, I guess. No ones been on this part of land for weeks now. Well, other than me and a couple other soldiers."
