World War Three ~~

"Aw Brandon, you made her cry!" Chris' smile faded a bit. "Jayde, do you want to come play with me? I have toys!"

Jayde shook her head. She hated toys. Last time she played with one, it exploded.

"Well you're no fun!" Chris pouted. "Brandon, will you play with me?"

Jayde sobbed. "Not right now," Brandon said, "I need to take care of Jayde." He stared at Jayde's skinny body and said, "You look like you need something to eat. I'll be right back." Brandon put her down to get food. Chris pouted and left the room.

"I'm back!" Ashley called, closing the door.
"Hi Ashley!" Chris smiled. "Did you get anything good?"
"Bullets, two knifes, a loaf of bread and some water," she listed.

(Lucy, not Ashley)
"You forgot cheese again," Brandon reminded her. "Shut up," Lucy said, smiling, "I'll get it later. Who's this?" Lucy sat down next to Jayde.

(Sorry, my bad. SHE CARRIED A LOAF IN WITH HER)

"Her name's Jayde, she was deserted according to Chris," Brandon explained.
"Finally another girl, it was starting to get annoying living with three guys," Lucy half-laughed. "I feel sorry for her, she looks really young."

"And skinny." Brandon added, getting her a snack.

"We'll toughen her up eventually," Lucy spoke softly. "Brandon it's your turn to take watch, I'm taking a nap," she yawned, and headed towards her small room. Everyone else had to share a bedroom, but Lucy was a girl, and although this was a time of need, she preferred to keep things appropriate.

Jayde followed Lucy. Brandon turned around to give Jayde her food, but she disappeared.

Lucy laid down on her bed, unaware that Jayde had followed her, and started to cry. Not loud enough for anyone to hear, or to notice though. She just cried.

Lucy looked a lot like a younger version of Jayde's mother. When she knew that Lucy was fast asleep, she crawled into the bed and cuddled with Lucy's arm, and fell asleep crying.

Steven scanned the town, seeing burning buildings, children crying, and homeless people, begging for water. He wanted to help them. He wanted to help all of them. No, he decided. I already have others to take care of. And off he went, trying to find an old gas station to pillage from.

CRACK! A bullet was shot at the gas station Steven appeared at. There was a gas leak, and someone was lighting a match. "Oh shit!" Steve yelled as she was racing to try and avoid the future explosion.

Steven barely made it away unharmed, coughing because of the smoky air.
"Idiots," He muttered. It was the country's fault anyways. Getting themselves into war, turning the scenery gray, like a black-and-white movie. He never even got supplies for the others.

Steven kept looking for supplies. He couldn't find anything. All he found was a small pocket knife, which he shoved in his pocket for use later. It could come in handy.

It was getting late. Not like he could tell. The sky was continually covered with a gray smog, and color was rarely found except for clothing worn by others. He approached the house, returning.
"I'm back," Steven called, and Brandon came down to greet him.
