He listened closely to hear sobbing. "Yeah, but it seems far away," he replied.

"It's probably all the way back in Earth," Lydia sighed, walking out of Ace's house. "Well that kind of ruined the fun of the night," she muttered.

As they walked closer, the crying got louder. Lydia then spotted a figure, sobbing in a corner.

"Are you alright?" Lydia asked, walking up to the girl.

Ivory turned around, just enough to make out who it was and ran, pushing her away. "Was that the new girl? Ivory was it?" Adam asked. Lydia got up, shocked, and said, "I think so,"

"Why is she so upset?" Lydia murmured.
"Want to find out?" Adam asked, taking Lydia's hand and running.

"Ivory!" Adam yelled, chasing her. She ran in her room and shut the door, checking twice to see it it was locked.

"Ivory open the door!" Lydia screamed. Adam busted through the door to see if she was okay. They could hear her, but didn't see her. Then, Lydia found her under her bed.

"What do you want?!" Ivory cried, trying to move farther back.

"What's wrong?" Lydia asked, concerned. Ivory replied, "None of your business, I'm fine!"

"You don't look fine," Adam pointed out.
"Well I am!" Ivory snapped. "And I need a new door because of you!"

Adam turned to the door and mumbled, "sorry.." Ivory came out and lied, "Look guys, it's great you care, but I'm fine, really."

"And I don't believe you," Lydia smiled. "Look, you can tell us anything. Alright?"

"Ivory, please....You were like the happiest girl in the world yesterday," Lydia said softly, sitting down next to her. "Fine," Ivory whispered, "You better promise not to tell anyone." Lydia nodded quickly. Ivory started to explain, "Do you know why I moved here? Because my sister died. She died by suicide, putting a rope over her neck. My mom thought to prevent me from doing same, we would move and make me a Kipengele like my dad did. Well, obviously with my sister's death it doesn't necessarily help. Her and I were really close, we did everything together. Also by moving, I left all my closest friends who helped me through everything, no I'm here lonely. Instead of making it better, it just got 10 times worse. I was the one to find my sister, and she was still alive. She died in my arms, her last words were, 'I love you, and I'm sorry' every night I listen to the recording she sent me years back when I was younger," Ivory was tearing. She played it for them, and a soft voice came on saying, "Dear, don't you ever change!" then the girl in the recording started singing. Ivory turned it off and sobbed, "I don't know why, but today it cracked me," She put her head between her knees, "Some night are like this,"

"Ivory....." Lydia was speechless. Who knew that this nice new girl had so much on her chest, that she was carrying around with her for ages.
"I don't want you to feel sorry for me," Ivory said, sitting up straighter. "I'm just not very happy right now."
"Alright, we'll leave you alone. But Ivory, if you ever need anyone to talk to, we'll be here," Adam smiled warmly.

Ivory forced herself to fake a smile, which she had been a pro at for years now. She waited until they left the room to continue crying.

"Do you think she's gonna be okay?" Lydia asked, still worried, "I mean she was like the happiest girl in the world when we went bowling,"

"I don't know," Adam answered honestly, "I hope so. Maybe when we were bowling she was just happy to have company,"

"I really do feel bad for her," Lydia murmured. She became quiet, and depression was starting to show in her face.
"Come on," Adam held out a hand and smiled. "The festival's not over yet. Let's go have fun."

She slowly nodded, her sight lowling traveling down.

She took his hand and was led out to the festival. They went to the archery, to see some new competition. The fires weren't there, and taking their place there was a wind who looked like she had rabies. "This is new," Adam said.

The wind's white hair blew in the breeze as she unsheathed a few arrows, and loosed them. Consecutive bulls eyes hit, one after another.
"Hey, isn't that Tara?" Lydia asked. "I didn't think she'd show up this time."

Hearing her name, Tara looked over. Her face was worse then her hair and arms. "What?" She shrieked, scaring the two. Tara looked away, and Lydia whispered, "I swore she was about to foam out of her mouth!"

"Tara's usually so well-kept, how did that happen?" Adam mused.
"Didn't you hear? She's the top of her class in Wind, but when Colby could shoot better than her, she tried to match him. She failed, and her best friend, who was the worst in the class by the way, picked up the bow and beat him. Must of broke her heart," Lydia sighed, shaking her head.
"How do you know all of this?" Adam asked, confused.
"I'm the only Growis with a flower shop. You won't believe how much gossip I get in a day."
