"Come on, move it," The man pushed the guys out of the place. When they were out the door, he pushed them to the ground. "And stay out!"

Brandon fell to his knees then fell to the ground and covered his face. He wasn't showing it, but he silently sobbed.

"Brandon," Steven asked quietly. "Are you alright?"
"I-I'm...no. No I'm not."

"Why?" Steve asked unaware. Brandon looked up red eyes and teary. He took awhile to respond, "well I went to get someone and instead I lost someone." He was halt telling the truth, just like Lucy did.

"That's not all of it," Steven sighed. "You can't just go around telling people parts of what's on your mind, or else you're no better than Lucy. Can't you just admit that you love her?" he asked.

"What?" Brandon looked up surprised.

"Brandon, seriously. I know it's true, you know it's true, but Lucy doesn't. Mainly because you didn't tell her. And that she thinks you hate her now," Steven pointed out.
"What?! She thinks I hate her?" Brandon was shocked.

There was a slight pause before Brandon continued, "Wait so you think I have a crush oh Lucy, and Lucy hates me?" Brandon had a sad-confused look on his face.

"No no no, you're getting it wrong. I know that you have a crush on her. And Lucy doesn't hate you, she thinks you hate her," Steven explained.

Personality: April is more on the fierce, tomboy side, but deep down inside she does have a soft spot. Although April made be rude, she is not a bully. She loves to hang around kids younger than her and she loves to fight. April is mostly independent, but when it comes to her best friend (Lucy) she will be so social you wouldn't even think she could be otherwise.
Appearance: April has light hazel eyes that could be mistaken for a bright yellow. Her eyes match her hair, wazy caramel-brown that goes down to about the middle of her back. She likes her hair braided, but she usually has it down or in a ponytail. She is kind of short, averaging about 5'1.

Other: When she was 12, she was in the war but when they found out she was too young they kicked her out.

"Huh?" Brandon was confused now. He just decided to move on. His eyes were so red he looked like he was high. "Ughhhhh," he moaned, "you just don't get it. I don't have a crush on her!"

"Okay, if you don't like her that way, *cough*unlikely*cough*, then how do you feel about her?" Steven asked, and chuckled under his breath.

"She's my best friend," Brandon replied, "Really the only one I had."

"You probably had more friends," Steven responded. "No offense, but Lucy doesn't look like much of the lone companion type."

"I had none, especially with the war. I mean, I had a twin brother..." He burst into tears again.

"I'm so sorry," Steven murmured, placing his hand on Brandon's shoulder. "But Lucy's been feeling left out lately. Mainly because she's the only girl and you have to watch Chris and stuff," he explained.

Still thinking about his lost brother, Brandon spoke but it was not understandable.

"Slow down," Steven shook the teenager. "Speak legitimate words. What was his name?"

"I'm sorry," Brandon said, wiping tears, and getting up.

"Hey Steven," Brandon sniffed, trying to remove the light blush from his face.
"Yeah?" He responded, feeling bad for the conversation.
"What do you think they're doing to her? Lucy I mean."

That made Steven think. "Well, basically due to our surroundings, I think they might be using her as a test, like a guinea pig. But what do I know?" Brandon put his face back in his hands.

"You idiot," Brandon muttered.
"There are other options besides experimentation. Female soldier, s** slave, maid-" He was cut off by Brandon's gasp.
"She could be a s** slave????" He asked, full of concern.
"Yeah, but it's unlikely. We're going to rescue her either way aren't we?" Steven asked, shrugging slightly.

"SHE COULD BE A F*CKING S*X SLAVE!!!!!" Brandon shouted. That one phrase was running around in his head like a cheetah chasing a gazelle.

"Brandon! Calm the fluck down! They'll hear us!" Steven clapped a hand over Brandon's mouth. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have brought it up."
